Why does Blue Car Technologies need to collect and store personal data?

How Blue Car Technologies uses your information

Blue Car Technologies will process – that means collect, store and use – the information you provide in a manner that is compatible with the UK’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We will endeavour to keep your information accurate and up to date and not keep it for longer than is necessary.

Our aim is not to be intrusive, and we undertake not to ask irrelevant or unnecessary questions. Moreover, the information you provide will be subject to rigorous measures and procedures to minimize the risk of unauthorized access or disclosure.

We will use the information you provide for the following purposes:

When someone visits our website we use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website. If we do want to collect personally identifiable information through our website, we will be up front about this. We will make it clear when we collect personal information and will explain what we intend to do with it.

We may share your information, including Personal Information, with third party service providers who perform various functions to enable us to provide our Services and help us operate our business, such as website design and hosting, sending email communications, customer care, or recording supplier and customer details. Our contracts with these third parties require them to maintain the confidentiality of the Personal Information we provide to them, only act on our behalf and under our instructions, and not use Personal Information for purposes other than the product or service they are providing to us or on our behalf.

Data Retention

Blue Car Technologies will use its discretion to ensure that we do not keep records outside of our normal business requirements. The following is a list of our retention periods:

Prospect Marketing:  3 Year 

Client Marketing:  3 Years 

Client File:  Minimum 7 Years, depending on work type 

Employee: at least 6 years  (Name, Role, Start and End Dates kept for 10 years after cessation of employment) 

Prospects CV: Duration of Vacancy, plus 3 months 

Supplier File: Duration of relationship with supplier plus 6 years

Collection And Use Of Children's Personal Information

We do not knowingly collect information from minors. Our Services are intended for and directed to adults. Our Services are not directed to minors and we do not knowingly collect Personal Information from minors.
