Cyber Essentials Assurance from Blue Car Technologies, from £850 +vat
Cyber Essentials is the entry-level certification, based on a self-assessment process in which organisations verify their implementation of basic security controls such as secure configuration, access control, firewalls, malware protection and software patching.
Attaining Cyber Essentials requires organisations to fill in a self-assessment questionnaire which is then reviewed by an IASME-approved certification body.

Cyber Essentials Plus Assurance from Blue Car Technologies, from £2,549 +vat
Building on Cyber Essentials, Cyber Essentials Plus involves a more rigorous, hands-on assessment conducted by an external certifying body. It verifies that a business has effectively implemented the essential controls across its network and endpoints (organisations must have attained Cyber Essentials certification before progressing to Cyber Essentials Plus).

Organisations undergo testing of their networks, devices and security configurations, to provide a higher level of verification. Our IASME-accredited certification body partner will conduct this testing, which includes scanning for vulnerabilities and testing how the organisation’s defences respond to potential threats. Achieving Cyber Essentials Plus typically takes more time and resources than Cyber Essentials due to the requirement for an external assessment, but it also provides a higher level of assurance. For businesses aiming to improve their cybersecurity incrementally, achieving Cyber Essentials first and then progressing to Cyber Essentials Plus provides a pathway to gradually strengthen and scale up their cybersecurity defences.
